Intarta.com, Sergai | The Chief of Police for Serdang Bedagai (Sergai), AKBP Oxy Yudha Pratesta, ceremoniously sent off 324 prospective Hajj pilgrims from Sergai Regency in a solemn event held in the courtyard of the Grand Mosque. The event began at 7:00 AM Waktu Indonesia Bagian Barat on Wednesday (May 29), attended by Regent H. Darma Wijaya, Deputy Regent H. Adlin Umar Yusri Tambunan, and other regional officials.
The Chief of Police expressed his appreciation for the safe and smooth conduct of the event and reminded the families of the pilgrims to provide moral support.
The Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for Serdang Bedagai explained that the prospective pilgrims would join Group 16, along with 11 pilgrims from Batubara and 24 from Paluta.
“I would like to give special recognition to Abdul Wahab, the oldest prospective pilgrim at 88 years old, and Adinda Rahimah Fadilah Pulungan, the youngest prospective pilgrim at 21 years old,” he stated.
Regent H. Darma Wijaya and Deputy Regent Adlin Tambunan reminded the pilgrims to maintain their health and enthusiasm during their pilgrimage in the Holy Land, emphasizing the importance of unity and mutual support.
